Get clear on the issue. Prepare for the conversation. Take the next step.
You like the person, but their performance isn’t where it needs to be. You’ve noticed a problem, but you wonder whether your expectations were clear. You know a conversation needs to happen, yet the timing never feels right. Uncertainty can keep leaders postponing decisions their teams need them to make.
In this two-hour workshop, you’ll learn a practical method for evaluating whether someone aligns with your core values and fits the responsibilities of their role. You’ll explore how to clarify expectations, recognize issues that need attention, and address concerns promptly and thoughtfully. Guided worksheets, real-life examples, and coached conversation demonstrations will help you prepare, with optional opportunities to practice.
Leave with a method for evaluating difficult people situations, identifying the conversations that need to happen, and approaching them with clarity and care.
What to expect
Each standalone, two-hour workshop is designed for active learning, with practical teaching, original worksheets, real-life examples, and small-group work. Where relevant, coached demonstrations and optional roleplaying give you a chance to practice real leadership conversations in a supportive setting.
